Spending Time Outdoors with the Huber Family

Although I spend a lot of time in the studio, I recently drove out to Marriottsville for a beautiful fall shoot with the Huber family.  We had met previously during baby Ellie’s newborn session here in New Market, Maryland.  So, I was delighted to visit their property and see how much had changed over the past 9 months!

At the end of September, you never know what type of weather you’ll get.  Fortunately, though, we had perfect conditions this day to get outside and create a little autumn picnic!  We didn’t need too many props, since their unique property gave us this amazing backdrop.  Including all the colors you’d expect from Maryland in fall.

With family sessions, it’s all about authenticity.  Not just in capturing candid moments (like these).  But also, when it comes to choosing a setting.  By shooting at the Hubers’ home, we were able to create an extremely personal experience that would be hard to replicate anywhere else.  Baby Ellie was completely comfortableβ€”as you can see.  Her laughter and smiles throughout the shoot were infectious!

What type of family photographer would I be if I didn’t include everyone?  Some of the best pictures from this session featured the furriest member of the Huber household.  It only took a little bit of a coaxing (and a few treats) to have this happy golden retriever sitting outdoors alongside Ellie.

If you’d like an opportunity to showcase your own family dynamicβ€”pets includedβ€”please contact Jessica Neumann Photography!  There’s still time to schedule a session before the holidays.  Whether you’d prefer an outdoor setting or a visit to the JNP studio.  I’m based in New Market, but I’m not afraid to travel to Frederick, Ellicott City, Washington, D.C., or the surrounding areas!  Let me know how I can make your next family portrait the most memorable.
