Frederick County Newborn Session | Maryland Newborn Photographer

These first two images posted below sum up Baylor’s newborn session pretty accurately. Awake and alert! At 16 days old, it’s no surprise that he wanted to join the party! I have found that the “sweet spot” for a sleepy baby is typically between 7 to 15 days old. However, where there is a will, there more certainly is a way.

Have no fear, the sleepy dust did make its way into the studio after some extra snuggles (no complaints about that here!) and some milk from Mom. In her newborn questionnaire, Mom mentioned two specific setups that she would like incorporated into Baylor’s newborn session. “Neutral patriotic” was a must, and she also loved the idea of tying in the moon and the stars.

I don’t think there is anything much cuter than a baby holding a little stuffed bear, and Baylor certainly understood the assignment! I’m not sure what I love more though, newborn lovey snuggles, or a beautiful candid moment between mom and her youngest son. During a reveal session, I typically show some of my favorite images from your session in color as well as in Black and White. Of course, if there is an image that you know you want to have in B&W, I will absolutely accommodate that request. For this image in particular, I felt that Black and White lent timelessness to the love and connection that was captured during the family portrait part of their newborn session.

Thank you for continuing to choose JNP as your photographer and letting me capture so many sweet moments throughout your family’s milestones that I hope you will cherish for many years to come.
