The best time to book your newborn session is while you are still pregnant. Once your session fee is paid, I will reserve your baby’s due date on my calendar. I ask that once your baby arrives you call, email me or text so we can set a date to get him/her in the studio. The ideal time to photograph a newborn is 7-14 days after birth. Sessions take place in my New Market studio during the week in the mid-morning (there are some weekend hours which we can discuss if you can’t make it during the week). My studio is located conveniently off of 270 and 70, which makes an easy trip for those traveling to JNP. The session lasts anywhere from 2 to 3.5 hours depending on baby’s temperament and needs. I am experienced with newborns, so you will get a nice break to relax. I provide coffee, magazine and snacks, but feel free to bring a snack, beverage or reading material to pass the time.
